Alex has worked within the funeral services since 2015. Qualifying as a Cremation Technician in 2018 he was eager to be a part of the team to open and work at Wealden Crematorium. Alex thoroughly enjoys his job and takes pride in what he does. His favourite things about Wealden Crematorium is the architecture of the building and the peaceful setting.
Geoff joined the team in March 2019 after 20 years in the Prison Service. He says: “I’m a people person at heart and it gives me a real pleasure to serve the public.” Knowing the area well, having lived locally for 9 years, Geoff thinks the crematorium is a real Jewel in the crown for Wealden and compliments the settings rural aspect.
Katie started working at Wealden Crematorium in March 2019, after spending many years in the ambulance service. The change in career has been refreshing, especially in such a lovely countryside setting. Out of work Katie enjoys reading, cuddling cats and running the odd 5k!
Carol joined the team in May 2019 after spending 3 years working for Age Concern in Eastbourne. She works as part of the admin team assisting with bookings, availability and services. Carol is a keen golfer and can usually be found over at Horam Park Golf Club on her days off.
Julie joined Wealden Crematorium in May 2019 after working at Eastbourne Crematorium for almost 8 years. Julie is part of the dream admin team and assists with the arrangements for the funeral services. She is known to ride to work on her Harley Davidson motorbike but only when the weather is fine!
Lisa joined the team in May 2019 after spending 10 months working for a travel company in Cambodia. She is proud to be part of the admin team. Lisa’s favourite things about Wealden Crematorium are the beautiful wildflowers and she loves being able to cycle to work every day (even in the rain).
